I enthusiastically recommend Hayley Scanlon for her brilliant Japanese-to-English translations! So far, she has translated three Japanese sources for me, including two non-fiction texts as well as a screenplay excerpt. All were delivered in a timely manner with total professionalism. More than just the translations, Hayley frequently includes footnotes with contextual information. This provides a richer appreciation of an author’s linguistic choices and illustrates the level of expertise Hayley brings to her work. The translations I have received so far will be included in a book published by Liverpool University Press, which I hope conveys how pleased I am with her work and how confident I am of its quality. I hope to work with her again soon!
